Ore no Tsukudani
Kochi is the No. 1 producer of nira Chinese chives in Japan. Large amounts of nira are used to produce the flavorful aroma of tsukudani, and no chemical flavoring is added. Ore no Tsukudani tastes best when eaten with white rice or served with alcohol. It is also tasty when added to omelets or used as a topping on toast. Please also use our tsukudani in other recipes.
Kura no Kaori Manju (Manju made with lees from Tsukasa Botan sake)
Kura no Kaori Manju is made using lees from Tsukasa Botan, a locally produced sake in Sakawa-cho. Its original recipe was developed by the current president's great grandfather, who was born in the Edo era. The manju gets its special flavor from the lees of junmai daiginjyoshu, the top grade of sake.
Ingredients: White bean paste, flour, sugar, sake lees,
eggs, trehalose, sorbitol, processed starch, leavening agent
Sakawa Cha Manjiu
Tea made in Sakawa-cho is used to make Sakawa Cha Manju, giving it a very delicate flavor. Sakawa-cho is located in the watershed of the Niyodo River, which is famous for its clear water. The tea is one of the main products of the town and is enjoyed by people in Sakawa-cho and elsewhere. It is turned into a powder so the whole tea, including the leaves, is used to make the manju. Every bite of manju will fill your mouth with tea flavor.
Ingredients: White bean paste, flour, sugar, green tea of Sakawa-cho, Kochi, trehalose, sorbitol, processed starch, leavening agent
