Overview of products, facilities and manufacturing techniques
Since early times of architectural history, Shikkui(plaster) has been used for main buliding materials for many architectures and important cultural properties. Focused-on to the traditional method of shikkui-coating from earlier as a lime hydrate manufacturer, we began the research of "shikkui" from 1970s. Since then, we have been developing various shikkui-related products. Lime is a main raw material for shikkui and architectual history of more than 5000 years proves as "truly-safe wall material". During recent years, health damage caused by noxious chemicals emitted from adhesive and coating materials is now a nationwide problem, makes difficult for the residents to stay even in their own houses. "Original shikkui" can be produced at our plant upon client's detailed request, and we hope this will help the settlement of above problems for the bright future of housing environment.
Main product line 1
[Excellent properties of Shikkui(plaster)]For thousands of years in abroad and more than a thousand year in Japan, Shikkui has been used for various type pf architectures. It has many functions such as humidity conditioning, antibacterial effect, fire-safety, earth-friendly and easy to design and create which are suitable for seasonal climate changes in Japan. 1) Humidity conditioning and sorbability: Porous shikkui-coated wall is breathing all the time to control the humidity. Because of this function, smell of cigarettes and formaldehyde which is substance mailnly responsible for sick building syndrome can be absorbed and degraded, to keep the air clean. 2) Antibacterial effect: Shikkui has an antibacterial effect because it's strong alkaline. It works together with humidity control funcion, prevents ticks and molds to build up. 3) Safeness: Shikkui is blended with natural materials like lime hydrate and natural glues, this chemical-free aspect reassures both builders and people who live there. 4) Toughness: After the shikkui coated on the wall, during the slow process of hardening and drying-out, it gets harder and harder by absobing carbon dioxide in the air and finally turns back to lime rock after more than 100 years. 5) Fire-safety: Addtion to its fireprrof performance, it does not produce noxious fumes and prevent fire spread in case of fire. 6) Earth-friendly: Shikkui's base material is a lime, which is one of the resources from the earth. Therefore, there is no need to concern about the emissions of dioxine and asbestos at the time of disposal.
