We, Shimanto Mihara Vegetable Farm Co., Ltd, were provided breed and technical guide by Kagome Co.,LTD which is famouse for processed tomatoes and cultivate "Kokumi-Tomato" for eating raw. Moreover, the crop is in high-ranking among Kagome group's farms. The target of the crop was 700 tons in the first year of establishment, but now it jumped up to 800 or 900 tons per year. Our mind of try to surpass the world standard , and the fruit of all the employees' efforts have good results so far.





2.7ha(1st and 2nd greenhouse combined)of wide-span type greenhouse(height 5m, width 8m).





Lengthwise and crosswise pipes automatically supply water for agricultual use, nourishing solution, and carbon dioxide gas.




One of the secrets of our ability is that we have the largest-scale and the mostadvanced cultivate system in Shikoku area. We adopted a growing technology from an agriculturally advanced nation, Holland. And we operate the most advanced tomato production by using companies which automatically control the temperature, humidity, and watering. We have the most advanced technology in order to keep a comfortable environment. Thus, we constructed the cultivate system which is good for the environment, the earth, and saving energy.



Method of cultivation is to adopt rockwool culture medium in stead of soil. We change the culture medium once in a year and that prevent tomatoes from soil-borne fungus. Moreover, that makes us control the fertilizer and the moisture content very easy and efficient. We reuse the overflowed culture medium.





We grow up every tomato trees up tp approximately 15 or 20 meters. This makes us enable to cultivate for 10 months in a row. End of the trees are hunged by lead hooks, and tyrees would keep growing by moving hooks. Because we cultivate each one of the tomatoes manually, we need to move hooks up and down to worker's gaze. Moreover, we use manlift in ordet to lighten the workers' burden and increasing the labour effectiveness.





We consider an ecosystem and we use Bombus ignitus for pollination. In addition, we adopted natural enermy for pest control and biotic pesticide. As a result, we have safe and secured production system.





Compound environment control system can monitor the temperature, humidity, Co2 density, and supply of nourishing solution. The system is also linked with a heating system, a skylight, a boiler, and mist generator. It keeps inside of the greenhouse the most comfortable condition. In addition, everything is automated, thus computer itself would make a contact with a person in charge if any trouble happens. Moreover, in case of a big trouble, manufacturer can operate directly by remote control.

Using liquefied petroleum gas for heating a greenhouse prevents air pollution.





(2) 6 boilers

We reuse CO2, which was discharged by boiler, for photosynthesis of tomatoes.





(3)A tank with circulation-style function of nourishing water -storehouse

We do not dump overflowed nourishing solution but resuse it after sterlize it by ultraviolet sterilization system.

A well-lit greenhouse. Cultivating in clean environment.

line facility.

Harvested tomatoes are packed in farm. We deliver safe and high quality tomatoes.





A company, that is kind to producers, is one of the reason for production rise. We have no work on weekends in spite of agriculture. We evaluate all the employees based on the attendance and the work performance. We provide bonus if we made a profit. We used to sell 100% Kagome brand items. We established new company "Best Grow" because we did not want to waste any tomatoes. We sell non standard tomatoes and process B quality tomatoes to tomato juice. Henceforward, we will extend the market of our brand, and we hope that our new business would give more employment in Hata area. We aim to become a company which can give energy and vitality to a region through tomato business. Moreover, we would like to contribute to Japanese agriculture by all the employees' motivation and vitality.

Fully ripened tomatoes and the salt, made in Kuroshio city in Kochi prefecture, made it refreshing and mild taste.

Fully ripened tomatoes, raised in an environment full of nature, mixed with red pepper. Mayo with little of spice.










Our task is to supply high quality tomatoes from August and September throughout the year. In order to learn the technology, we periodically invite a lecturer from foreign country. And we are struggling to outdo world standard everyday.
