I was awakened by ceramic art, which makes one want to play with clay and learn from it.
I work in a wide range of ceramic art, covering both glazed and unglazed ceramics. My concept of how to make pottery is to wrestle with clay and fire in search of the original beauty of creativity, and I want to continue this journey of searching for beauty.
I make Tosa Bizen Yaki ceramics in a 7-meter climbing kiln, firing each piece for 150 hours, as well as glazed pottery, using clay from Shigaraki, that is fired in an electric kiln for 20 hours. Please enjoy the differences in color that are representative of handmade pieces of pottery.
