Our foundation work department has been tirelessly researching and developing new types of construction work adopting the needs of the time and society since the company was established in 1967. Tsunami Evacuation Shelter
Due to the strong possibility of massive earthquakes in the Nankai Trough, this tsunami shelter, designed for elderly and handicapped people who would have difficulty evacuating to elevated locations, could be the fortress that saves lives!
Certified Product No. 5 of the Kochi Disaster Prevention Products Certification Program
SqC Pier Method
Foundation for temporary bridge as emergency plan/step bridge (elevated pedestrian bridge)
This construction method reverses the steps of conventional construction. All of the major components, except the foundation, are made in a factory and the launching erection method is used for construction. This method is suitable for reconstruction during a disaster because it does not require a staging ground. It is particularly suited for steep and hilly locations, and offers the benefit of reduced building costs while providing safe and quick construction. Patent No. 3043320
Super Guide Pile Method
Works on any kind of ground from large and deep pilings to hard bedrock.
Ideal for reconstruction work after a natural disaster or when work must be completed in a short period of time.
Guide piles are inserted in the rock by a high-pressure jet pile driving machine. Simultaneously, a Vibrofonceur machine crushes the rock, with air pressure bringing the rock chips to the surface. The guide piles are then pulled out. If foot protection is needed, lubricant and foot protection fluid are injected via a jet tube, followed by the insertion of piles into the holes already excavated.
Hand-Winding Type Gondola for Tsunami Evacuation/Elevated Pedestrian Bridge
Seniors, infants and physically handicapped people are unable to evacuate quickly to high ground in case of a tsunami. Moreover, after a massive earthquake, power may be lost, so elevators won't work. This Hand-Winding Type Gondola solves both problems by offering a hand-winding system to lift the gondola, which has room for wheelchairs.
